Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 8 August 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made from JC Autoworx through our online store. By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.

1. About us

JC Autoworx supplies automotive repair kits, tools, sensors, electrical components and other vehicle-related products.

Our products may be intended for professional or competent DIY installation. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the correct product is ordered for the intended vehicle and application.

2. Product information and compatibility

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications and compatibility information are accurate.

Vehicle fault codes and symptoms can have multiple possible causes. Purchasing a component from us does not guarantee that the component will repair a particular vehicle fault.

Customers are responsible for carrying out appropriate diagnosis before ordering and fitting parts.

Where vehicle information such as a registration number, VIN, make, model, engine or year is requested, the customer is responsible for providing accurate information.

3. TPMS sensors and personalised products

Certain products, including pre-programmed TPMS sensors, may be programmed, configured or otherwise prepared specifically for the customer's vehicle.

Where a customer supplies their vehicle registration, VIN or other vehicle information and we program or configure a product specifically for that vehicle, the product will be treated as a personalised or custom-made item.

Personalised and custom-made items are not eligible for cancellation or return simply because the customer has changed their mind, except where required by law. UK distance-selling cancellation rights contain an exception for personalised or custom-made goods.

This does not affect the customer's legal rights if the product is faulty, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract.

4. TPMS installation and relearn procedures

Pre-programming a TPMS sensor does not necessarily mean that no further vehicle procedure will be required.

Depending on the vehicle, sensors may:

  • relearn automatically after driving;
  • require the vehicle to be placed into TPMS relearn mode;
  • require a compatible diagnostic or TPMS tool;
  • require additional coding, adaptation or sensor registration.

Customers are responsible for ensuring the vehicle has been correctly diagnosed before replacement sensors are fitted.

5. Orders

An order is not considered accepted until we have accepted and processed it.

We reserve the right to cancel an order where, for example, a product is unavailable, an obvious pricing error has occurred, incorrect vehicle information has been supplied, or we reasonably believe an order cannot be fulfilled.

Where we cancel an order after payment has been taken, the relevant payment will be refunded.

6. Prices and payment

All prices displayed on the website are shown in pounds sterling.

Where VAT applies, the price displayed at checkout will include VAT unless clearly stated otherwise.

Payment must be successfully completed before an order is dispatched.

7. Delivery

Delivery estimates are estimates and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.

Same-day dispatch claims apply only where the order meets the stated cut-off time and all information required to process the order has been received.

For personalised products, including programmed TPMS sensors, missing or incorrect vehicle information may delay dispatch.

8. Returns of non-personalised goods

For eligible goods purchased online, customers have the right to notify us that they wish to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods. Once cancellation has been notified, the customer normally has a further 14 days to return the goods.

Returned goods should be adequately packaged and returned with all accessories, parts and packaging where reasonably possible.

Customers may inspect goods in the same way that they could reasonably inspect them in a shop. If goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them and this reduces their value, we may be entitled to make an appropriate deduction from the refund.

9. Used or fitted items

Items that have been fitted, installed, programmed after supply, damaged, contaminated or used beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them may not qualify for a full change-of-mind refund.

This does not affect the customer's statutory rights where the goods are faulty or do not conform to the contract. UK law does not allow a seller to exclude responsibility for faulty goods.

10. Personalised goods

Goods that have been made, programmed or customised specifically for a customer are not eligible for a change-of-mind cancellation where the personalised-goods exception applies.

This includes, where applicable:

TPMS sensors programmed specifically to the vehicle information supplied by the customer.

If a personalised item is faulty, incorrectly supplied or not as described, please contact us and we will deal with the matter in accordance with your statutory rights.

11. Faulty goods

All goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their intended purpose where applicable and match their description.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes your statutory rights.

If you believe an item is faulty, please contact us before attempting further repair, modification or dismantling where reasonably possible.

We may request information reasonably necessary to assess the fault, such as photographs, diagnostic information, vehicle details or return of the item for inspection.

12. Incorrect vehicle information

Where a personalised product is produced using vehicle information supplied by the customer, we are not responsible for incompatibility caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied to us.

Customers should check their registration number and other vehicle details carefully before submitting their order.

13. Installation

Unless expressly stated otherwise, parts are supplied on the basis that installation will be carried out by a suitably competent person.

JC Autoworx will not be responsible for damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, modification, incorrect diagnosis or failure to follow appropriate vehicle manufacturer procedures.

Nothing in this clause excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful.

14. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including legal responsibility for faulty goods and other rights that cannot legally be excluded.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The terms applying to an order will normally be those displayed when the order was placed.

16. Contact

If you have any questions regarding an order, compatibility, returns or these Terms and Conditions, please contact JC Autoworx through the contact details shown on our website.
